About Gimies

Our Story: From a Pro’s Mind to Your Golf Bag

Every golfer knows the frustration of the practice range. You put in the hours, but that consistency never seems to show up on the course.

As a PGA Professional for over thirty years, I’ve seen countless dedicated players get stuck, not from a lack of effort, but from a lack of focused, purposeful practice. My name is Jonathan Lamb, and I wanted to find a way to make practice truly effective—to turn aimless repetitions into real, lasting improvement.

That’s why I created Gimies.

The Problem: Aimless Practice

Hitting balls without a clear objective doesn’t build the skills you need under pressure. It’s easy to lose focus, and old habits creep back in. I wanted a solution that was simple and tangible—not another complicated gadget or distracting app.

The Solution: Practice with Purpose

The Gimies Cube is a simple, powerful training aid that gives every practice session a clear purpose. Just roll the cube and execute the challenge. It removes the guesswork and forces you to work on every part of your game.

By focusing on a single task, the mental clutter fades away, helping you find that elusive feeling of being “in the zone”—a state of relaxed concentration that is the key to better golf.

About Me

My coaching philosophy is simple: real, lasting improvement comes from building better skills from the ground up. Gimies is built on that principle. It’s the result of decades of experience, from being the Senior Teaching Professional at the prestigious Woburn Golf Club to coaching Cornwall’s top juniors and co-founding the Truro College Golf Academy.

Gimies gives every golfer—from individual players to juniors in a coaching session—access to the structured practice that is essential for real improvement. It’s designed to help you listen to what the ball is telling you.
